Virginia Elections 2009

Excellent week for the GOP in my favorite commonwealth.  (Yes, because we are so much cooler than a state.)

The Republican party swept the November election in Virginia, as well as some big victories in other historically blue states as well.

VA Governor:  McDonnell (R)  *The campaign Abby and wanted to volunteer with in DC.
VA Lieutenant Governor:  Bolling (R)
VA Attorney General:  Cuccinnelli (R)

House of Delegates
13th District:  Marshall (R)
32nd District:  Greason (R)
67th District:  LeMunyon (R)
86th District:  Rust (R)

Time Magazine ran a nice/brief bio on our Governor-elect.  A few highlights:

• Two Master's degrees & a Law degree
• 21 years of service in the U.S. Army
• Managed a Fortune 500 health care company
• 14 years in VA's House of Delegates

He is anti-abortion, pro-marriage, supports 2nd Ammendment rights... and is just an overall qualified, competent, patriotic leader.  GO VIRGINIA!!
